Maravanthe beach, is 50 km from Udupi on the west coast of Karnataka.
Tourists can go boating on the river, which was just two feet deep (during unseason) and hence can walk.
Snorkelling and other water activities are organised by the resort, provided there are enough people. A standard room in the resort is Rs 1,000 per night in season time, and Rs 680 during off season. Other places to visit around Maravanthe are Kollur and Murudeshwara.

- The nearest railhead is Kundapur, 18 km away, and Mangalore.
- By road, Maravanthe is 450 km from Bangalore, 130 km from Gokarna, 275 km from Goa and 50 km from Udupi.
